dc.description.abstract This case illustrates the use of innovation process by a technology company, Comcept, to build a profitable telemedicine start-up in Pakistan, where previous efforts in telemedicine were rudimentary and philanthropic. It highlights the market need for telemedicine in the country, and provides an account of the innovative technology products, clinical processes and awareness campaigns developed by the company. It provides a good background to discuss the challenges and risks that the company faces, as it looks to form strategic partnerships, to transition from its start-up stage towards becoming a profitable company. en_US
