Abstract: The case presents an interesting account of an entrepreneur faced with the improbable situation where he had made an investment worth four million rupees and his only technology transfer contact had died. Since his understanding with the contact was mainly verbal and based on mutual good will, the contact's heirs were not legally bound to do anything for him.
