A NOTE ON THE FRUIT PROCESSING INDUSTRY

Abstract

This note gives an overview of the fruit processing industry, outlining the meager progress the industry has made due to lack of proper incentives from the government, high packaging costs, relatively inelastic supply and ineffective cold storage. It also gives a brief account of the means of procurement of raw materials, and marketing and distribution channels.
