Abstract: The case describes a challenging situation faced by Mr. Syed Manzar Jan Sajid, Additional Director Establishment & Finance at the Directorate of Education, FATA. He had been given the responsibility to undertake the recruitment of teachers in FATA. It was decided by the Education Department that around 120 teachers needed to be replaced on an immediate basis.
