Abstract: Nasir Khan, the owner of Nasir Farms faced the decision of whether to invest in self-cultivation when he had already lost half the farm land to pre-emptors and the rest was disputed and under litigation. The case provides an interesting insight into the mechanics of farming, and also presents the rather unique statute of Pre-emption.
