Abstract: In 1947, there were no paper manufacturing projects in the country. By 1993, there were 15 paper and paper-board mills with a total installed capacity of 580,100 tons/annum. This note contains a brief description of the development of the paper and paper-board industry in Pakistan, the environment that it operates in, and a short description of the production process.
